In my own words

Zsófia Szele writes poems about chronic illness and caregiving, and I answered them with photographs. Quiet work, made in Veszprém, about the kind of endurance nobody applauds.

Some conversations are simply better held in images. Neither of us illustrated the other; we passed things back and forth until the room between the poem and the picture became the actual subject.
