Writing & ambassadorship

Writing, Teaching & the OM SYSTEM Years

Professional articles, brand ambassadorship and the memberships behind the work

Nobody puts this part on a poster, and I understand why. But if you want to know whether someone is serious about photography, look at whether they can explain it. I have been writing about technique, light and failure for years — usually because someone asked a question I could not answer in one sentence.

The milestone

The Japan Times / Bridges — Reveal your artistic side

In 2018 Olympus — now OM SYSTEM — made me their ambassador in Hungary. I could tell you that myself and you would have every right to shrug.

So here is the independent version: The Japan Times' Bridges wrote a piece about how I renewed the brand's communication in Hungary. Not through specifications and megapixels, but through user experience, education and community. That article is the reason the ambassadorship is a fact rather than a claim on my own website — and for a Hungarian photographer, being written about in a Japanese context by a Japanese publication is not a small thing.

What the role actually gave me was access to the newest technology, and the freedom to use it my way. My commitment to mirrorless systems is not a technocratic hobby: a lighter camera means more mobility and more discretion, and in documentary work discretion is everything.
